Your business is very important to you and your customers are the blood of your business; without them you wouldn't be able to survive. Your customer support team is essential in keeping them happy and keeping your support team comfortable and happy will make their job easier and their performance better. Some businesses want to have a very flexible atmosphere and feel that having hands free headsets is one of the best ways to accomplish this. There are many factors to consider when choosing the best hands free headsets for your customer support team. Here are some suggestions that should help you make the best choice for your business.

You probably chose to use hands free devices so that your employees are able to accomplish more while they are on the phone. They will be more capable of multitasking with a hands free headset and this is almost always going to translate into better health and comfort and better service for your customers.

One important choice is budget. There are some models that you can have your employees use that are rather economical and that will be durable and last a long time. There are also the more popular and increasingly more common wireless and Bluetooth headsets. If your employees need to be mobile and talk on the phone while running errands around the office or pulling a file from a shelf or any other activity that requires moving around a lot, a wireless headset may be the best choice. If they never need to leave their desk while on the phone, then a wired set may be the better option. If reducing cost is important then you may have fewer options available to you.

If you do choose to use a wireless or Bluetooth headset, it is important to consider the battery life of the headset.  Will they be on the phone for several hours at a time without having any type of break?  If so, a headset with a long battery life will be essential.  Charging time could also be important too.  It may be necessary to have a headset that charges very quickly or has a second battery that can be changed out when necessary.  Another important aspect of wireless headsets is their useful range.  If the building is large and they will be t moving about a lot, then a headset with a greater range, like a Bluetooth headset may be the best option.  If choosing a wireless device, it is also important to make sure that it doesn't operate on the same frequency as other devices throughout the space so that there is no interference between the different devices and the phone headset.

One of the most important factors when choosing a headset may be the comfort.  If a hands free headset isn't flexible enough or doesn't have enough options for adjusting the fit and therefore makes your employee uncomfortable, they will not want to use them.  Some head sets have large ear pads that rest on the ears quite comfortably, while others have ear buds that have to fit snugly inside the ear and may only be comfortable for a short amount of time.  Of course the choice will again be made based on the specific needs and usage requirements imposed by the type of business and the amount of time spent on the phone at a time.

It is also important to have something that is easy to use and that doesn't have too many complicated features or techniques to learn to be able to use it effectively.  If people have to spend too much time figuring something out, they are less likely to use it well and enjoy it.  You should look for something that can be picked up and used easily by any person that would ever need to use a phone.
