One thing that you need to keep in mind if you are going to be developing an industrial safety checklist is that you are not going to be able to use the same checklist as other companies. The reason for that is actually quite simple you are not going to be able to use the same checklist as other companies because of the fact that each individual company is going to have their own safety problems. A great example is that a manufacturing plant is going to have different safety issues than a retail store. But the good news is that regardless of what kind of a company you are working for there are a variety of items that can be found on a generic industrial safety checklist. But something to keep in mind before you implement any kind of plan you are going to need to review your workplace to be sure the safety needs of your individual business are going to be meet.
Here are some tips that you should follow when developing an industrial safety checklist.
Tip one: The first thing that you should do is to clearly post all of the documentation that your workers are going to need. What this means is to post the posters or other documentation that they are going to need to stay safe in a central location, you don't want to post it in some hidden area where it won't be of any use, and a great place to post these kinds of things is in the employee break room or meeting room. The reason that you want to post the documentation is that when the employees are made aware of the dangers of their work they can make better decisions to help keep them and others around them safe.

What this basically means is that you are going to need know what you are going to need to keep your employees safe, where you can find the safety equipment that your employees are going to be using at your manufacturing plant, and you are also going to need to know how to use the safety equipment so that you can keep yourself and your employees safe. Some things that you are going to want to watch out for is that your work areas are clear of any obstructions or spills, you want to make sure that all electrical cords are in good working order, and that you have safety zones established.
Tip five: Something else that you are going to need to know about is all of the chemicals that you are going to be using or that your employees can come into contact with; make sure that you have posted a copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet. You also need to be aware of how to dispose of hazardous waste and make sure that all of your chemicals are properly labeled.

This is a VERY basic list and a good place to start.
